like i just can't ever have enough and i think i have a perpetual fear that i will run out of books to read at some point in my life. so in an effort to never let that happen i just buy a lot. like a lot all of the time.
so maybe you should just leave me book suggestions.
so that i can buy more.
also - be prepared for what's on the blog tomorrow.
it's an xmas stocking in march. including a note on this lovely paper.
but seriously -
what are your best book recommendations?
Who is Drinking & Tweeting by because the looks and sounds hilarious! I liked Retail Hell by Freeman Hall. Mainly because I've worked at "the big fancy" so I could relate. And if you haven't read it My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler is hysterical.
ReplyDeleteI don't really read. Unless textbooks for school and Cosmo mags count. I also read TMZ online from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing that Chelsea Handler's books are funny. It takes a lot to get me involved in a book. I usually just put them down after the second or third page because I'm bored with it.
I am currently trying to read White Girl Problems which is pretty funny. At least I think it is, I haven't read anything other than the first chapter in like 3 months. I could be mistaken.
Yeah I don't read, I don't have suggestions, sorry. But I'm excited for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteIs Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling - hilarity
ReplyDeleteBlue Like Jazz by Donald Miller - inspirational
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd - didn't see the movie, but I'm sure the book is better
My name is memory -- amazing.
ReplyDeleteIdea that is America -- okay, so judge me.
Eating Animals -- judge me again.
Borrowed Time -- If you want to cry, this is the book. We love our gays.
The New New Rules -- it's kind of old, considering it's content, but it's still fucking hilarious. A quote:
"New Rule: If you are tweeting more than 10 times a day, you need to take up a more productive hobby. Like masturbating. Look at it this way, it's slightly better exercise, and you'll be giving pleasure to the exact same number of people."
It's by Bill Maher, so you might not like parts, but it's hilarious.
LOVE YOU.
The Millenium trilogy!
ReplyDeleteObviously Gone Girl. This year I've read that, as well as Will Grayson, Will Grayson and also John Dies at the End. Which was really interesting. Quite long though.
ReplyDeleteOn the horizon is Half-Broke Horses (same author as The Glass Castle, which is a great book), Lies that Chelsea Handler Told Me, and one million other books collecting dust on my shelf.
